Mark started his legal career in 1987, focusing on business and real
estate cases, and soon thereafter expanding to family law. Over
time, family law became the dominant area of Mark's practice. Mark
became known as a skilled litigator with extensive experience in
many areas that confound divorce and family law attorneys, settling most cases
but also gaining significant courtroom and trial experience.
Beginning in 2003, Mark started out on what turned into extensive training in conflict resolution, and
since then became experienced assisting clients reach settlements
without using either the court or methods that involve positional
negotiations.
After nearly two
decades, Mark re-tooled his practice in January 2007, by concluding
his last divorce trial to become a full-time Collaborative Divorce
lawyer and divorce mediator.
He
now works exclusively to help clients resolve disputes without court
intervention. Mark is particularly experienced and skilled in cases
involving businesses and complex property issues, including
professional practices, and complex parenting (custody/visitation)
matters. It is Mark's philosophy to respect every client as an individual, and to
provide advice and services that are appropriate to each
family's unique situation. Mark understands the challenges of
divorce, and focuses on helping clients achieve long-term solutions
that are consistent with their long-term goals and interests.
Mark has an exceptional understanding and skills in the law,
